Welcome to this journey through the history of Château du Guildo !
The Guildo Castle in 3D
Sentinel of Arguenon, the Château du Guildo is reborn thanks to the magic of digital technology and the joint work of Marie Ollivier, head of the château at the Department, of the Digital Design and Practices (DPN) laboratory of the Ecole Européenne Supérieure d'Art de Bretagne (EESAB), directed by Erwan Mahé and Laurent Beuchet, research engineer at Inrap Grand Ouest. Welcome to this visit through the ages of the Château du Guildo.

Standing on a rocky outcrop on the edge of the Arguenon estuary, the Château du Guildo is a medieval stronghold whose construction took place from the 11th to the 15th century. Acquired as a sensitive natural area, the castle was the subject of a complete program of 20 years of excavations carried out by Laurent Beuchet (Inrap Grand Ouest). These studies made it possible to collect enough data to allow the EESAB's Digital Design and Practices (DPN) laboratory to digitally present the Château du Guildo as it must have been in the 14th and 16th centuries.
